When I was six or seven, I told my mom a story. I have no idea what happened in it, but I began it the way any good story should – with theme music. I hummed for a while, and then launched into my tale.

I tormented my aunt when she took me to the bathroom in the middle of the night and I begged her a to tell me a story.

I regaled my siblings with tales of magical lands and talking animals while we folded clothes on our parents’ giant bed.

And at night, I dreamed the tales which would eventually become the fabric of the stories I now write and illustrate as an adult.

I write cozy post-apocalyptic stories with dashes of fantasy and no-spice romance for people who feel out of place or stuck wherever they’re at.

For God’s glory, may these stories serve as a lament for what we have lost, may they be a warning for what we can become, and may they show us a reason to rejoice.
